—日本に来たのは何回目ですか？
—How many times have you been to Japan?

３回目です。１回目は京都へ、２回目は名古屋へ行きました。
It’s my third times. The first time I went to Kyoto, the second time I went to Nagoya.

—関門エリアに来たのは何回目ですか？
—How many times have you visited the Kanmon area?

初めてです。
It’s my first time.

—ここまでどうやって来ましたか？
—How did you come here?

飛行機で福岡空港まで、福岡から門司港まで電車で来ました。
I flew in Fukuoka Airport, and came to Mojiko from Fukuoka by train.

—なぜ関門エリアに来たいと思ったのですか？
—Why did you want to come to the Kanmon area?

門司港へ来た一番の目的は、鉄道記念館へ行きたかったから！ウェブサイトで写真など見て行こうと思いました。昨日は、柳川と太宰府へ行ってたんです。明日は熊本へ行きます！楽しみです。
The main purpose I came to Mojiko was because I wanted to go to the Railway Museum! I looked the pictures on the website, and I decided to go there. Yesterday I went to Yanagawa and Dazaifu. Tomorrow I am going to go to Kumamoto. I’m so excited!

—観光にあたっては何を参考にしましたか？
—What did you refer to for sightseeing?

インターネットで日本のウェブサイトをチェックしてました。地図も印刷して持ってきましたよ。あとは携帯でいろいろ検索もしてます。
I checked Japanese website on the internet. I also printed the map and brought it. I also look up on my cell phone.

—このパネルの中で実際に食べてみたいものや、食べたいと思うものはありますか？
—Is there anything you actually ate or want to eat in this panel?

今日のお昼に焼きカレーを食べました。とっても美味しかったです。ふぐも気になりますね…。瓦そばってなんですか？初めて見ました！美味しそうですね！
I had grilled curry for lunch today. It was delicious. I am curious about blowfish as well. What is Kawara soba? That looks delicious!

—Are there any places you actually went or want to visit in this panel?

鉄道記念館へさっき行きました。あとは門司港レトロを巡りましたよ！あ！この唐戸市場はテレビで見たことあります。
I just went to the Railway Museum. And I went see Mojiko Retro. Oh! I’ve seen this Karato Marketplace on TV before.

—このエリアを旅して気に入ったところや不満なところはありますか？
—Are there any points that you felt satisfied, or dissatisfied while traveling this area?

今回は天気に恵まれたので本当に良かったです！門司港は建物もとても興味深かったです。はね橋が開くのも楽しかったし、海もあり景色もきれいですよね。あと、人がとても親切でした。下関がこんなに近いとは思ってなかったので、事前に分かれば下関へも行きたかったなと思いました。
I am blessed with great weather this time. The buildings around Mojiko district were interesting. I enjoyed watching the drawbridge open. There are beautiful seas, and the sceneries are really beautiful. And people are very kind. I had no idea that Shimonoseki was so close, so if i had known about it beforehand, I would have visited Shimonoseki today.
