—How many times have you visited the Kanmon area?
初めてです。修学旅行以来ぶりの九州です。
It’s the first time. I have been to Kyushu for the first time since my school trip.
—なぜ関門エリアに来たいと思ったのですか？また、観光にあたっては何を参考にしましたか？
—Why did you want to come to the Kanmon area? And what did you refer to for sightseeing?
浜松から車で長崎まで行って軍艦島をみて、それから柳川と博多の4泊の旅なんですけど、博多に宿泊したときに｢めんたいワイド｣で門司港のことを放送していたんです。新門司からフェリーで帰るので、出航までの時間に行ってみることにしました。あとはガイドブック九州を参考にしました。
We went to Nagasaki from Hamamatsu by car and toured Gunkan island. After that, we stayed at Yanagawa and Hakata for 4 nights. When staying in Hakata, Mojiko was picked up as “Mentai Wide”. Since we will return by ferry from Shin-Moji, we decided to go here before departure. Besides that, we referred to the guide book Kyushu.

テレビで関門ダコをやっていたので食べてみたいです。あとはフグ。瓦そばも美味しそうですね。
We watched Kanmon-Tako on TV and we’d like to try it. It seems that Fugu and Kawara Soba are delicious, too.
—このパネルの中で実際に行ったことのあるところや、行ってみたいところはありますか？
—Are there any places you actually went or want to visit in this panel?
テレビ番組｢ブラタモリ｣で関門エリア特集をしていたのを観たので、関門トンネルは行ってみたいですね。それから、神社やお寺巡りが好きなので、次は赤間神宮などにも行ってみようと思います。
Since we saw that it was featured in Kanmon area on TV program “Buratamori”, we want to go to Kanmon tunnel. We also like shrines and temple tours, so we will go to Akama Shrine etc. Next time.
—このエリアを旅して満足したポイントや、残念だったポイントはありますか？
—Are there any points that you felt satisfied, or dissatisfied while traveling this area?
来る前に、作られたレトロ感だと聞いていたのでどうかなーと思っていたけど、来てみたら雰囲気もいいし綺麗だし来て良かったです。九州と本州との近さに驚きました。また来たいです。
Before coming, we heard that it is an artificial retro atmosphere, so we can’t make up my mind to come here a little, but it was nice to come and have a good atmosphere. We was surprised at the proximity between Kyushu and Honshu. We want to come again.
